Before joining the Machine Learning Group at the Center for Cognitive Interaction Technology in 2025, Alissa received her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from TH OWL in Lemgo and her Master’s degree in Computer Science from KIT in Karlsruhe. Currently she is working as a PhD student within the project ‘Water Futures’ founded by the European Research Council (ERC). She is still finding her focus area, but is interested in Graph Neural Networks, Fairness in machine learning and physics-informed machine learning.
